Duty to Manage The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 place a duty on those in control of commercial/industrial premises to manager asbestos containing materials. The Thortex Systems essentially repair and encapsulates (seals) the asbestos cement on the outer surface, assisting the duty holder to comply with their legal obligations whilst at the same time minimising their asbestos waste. |

Alternative Solution SureStar Technology is an Agent for Thortex Systems who has developed liquid systems that allows a variety of roofing materials including asbestos, mineral felt, concrete cement and metallic substrates including copper to be cleaned, repaired and encapsulated (coated) in a range of colours. This new system virtually eliminates the risk of further asbestos deterioration. It produces a robust aesthetically pleasing roof with in excess of 20 further years of life. The systems are safe, environmentally sympathetic and significantly cheaper than the existing alternatives.
